Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! We kept it low-key this year, enjoying some quality time with family and exchanging modest gifts—just the way we like it.

My parents have taken to re-gifting items from years past, and this year was no exception. One of the gifts I received was a set of 15-year-old polo shirts that still smelled strongly of mothballs! Despite this, I’ll treasure them until they wear out.

We realized a while ago that exchanging extravagant gifts wasn’t necessary or meaningful for us anymore. Instead, we’ve started a sort of informal game where we see how creatively we can re-gift items to each other. This year, I passed on some oversized shirts from 2003 to my dad and a packet of dried plums to my mom, which got us all laughing.

For us, Christmas is really about the joy of family reunions. We’re often spread out across the globe, so when we do get together, we focus on catching up and sharing meals, rather than exchanging gifts. It’s about making and enjoying these precious moments together.

I hope you all get to relax until at least January 4th without having to think about work! We’ll keep things light here with some fun, short posts for the rest of the year, assuming many of you are also taking a break.

Happy Holidays, and here’s to a season of joy and togetherness!
